In 2000, The UKM Matriculation Programme was abolished to make way for the Malaysian Education Ministry Matriculation Programme. This change was made as the Ministry of Education Malaysia took over all matriculation programmes in the country to unify the curriculum. The programme ended on the 14th of April 2005.
The GCE A Levels programme was reinstated in 2002, and is still being offered by the college to this day.

It has also succeeded in sending a number of academically brilliant students for further studies at numerous universities outside Malaysia especially in the UK, New Zealand and Australia to name a few.
